Responsibility

Work hard and cheerfully at all you do

Colossians 3.23

"Responsibility means looking after your surroundings." Desire

"Responsibility means looking after others." Porscha

"A responsible person follows the golden rules." Hizqiel

"A responsible person takes care of their belongings." Filip

"A responsible person listens carefully." Hareem

Spiritual: The Bible teaches that life is a gift from God and it is our responsibility to use our talents and abilities in the best way we can. In school children are taught to value the contribution that everybody makes to the school.

Moral: ‘I can do all this through him who gives me strength’ (Philippians 4:13). We consider how encouraged to act responsibly within St.Barnabas school and the wider community. How do we act responsibly for our immediate and wider environment? How much responsibility we take in the choices and decisions we make. We therefore equip children with the skills required to be reflective, become informed and be able to make just judgements for themselves based on facts and evidence.

Social: As a community, by empowering young people and adults within our schools to claim their voice and take their place as active global citizens.

Cultural: We recognise everyone has to take responsibility for their talents and abilities for the good of others and not just themselves.

As a parent you too can get involved by clicking on the value above and sharing our 'Take Home Sheet' with your child.
