Year 6 2021 - 2022
Welcome to our Year 6 class page where you will find a daily timetable of activities for children to complete. If your child needs to stay at home but is well enough to learn then they should start on day 1 of our online learning timetable. All the activities are based on our current learning in school. Every day children will have access to maths, reading, writing and spelling or grammar activities. In addition, children will also be set activities linked to the wider curriculum. Furthermore, there are links to knowledge organisers, which you can use to deliver mini quizzes and other educational resources such as videos and websites for the children to use. If you have asked for paper resources, a work pack will be available for your child very soon. I will make contact with your child to discuss how they are getting on with their learning and arrange for them to join in some catch up sessions via Microsoft Teams if possible. If your child is working on paper or in a workbook, all their work needs to be returned to school when they come back, so that we can look at it together and discuss anything they found tricky. The best form of communication is through ClassDojo, where you can post comments if your child requires support with work set.
Here is a suggested timetable, which approximately follows our timings at school. This can help to keep a routine for the children. If the children have any spare time, please visit the websites tab, where they can access specific websites that help them to practise their basic skills.
