Year 2 2021 - 2022

Welcome to our Year 2 Class Page!

Here, you will find a daily suggested timetable of activities for children to complete. If your child needs to stay at home but is well enough to learn then they should start on Day 1 of our online learning timetable. All the activities are based on our current learning in school. Every day, children will have access to maths, reading, writing and spelling or grammar activities. In addition, children will also be set activities linked to the wider curriculum.  Furthermore, there are links to knowledge organisers, which you can use to deliver mini quizzes and other educational resources such as videos and websites for the children to use. If you have asked for paper resources, a work pack will be available for your child very soon.

While your child is at home, you might also want to use some of the following links to listen to stories together, or to help make sure they get some movement and exercise while they are at home. There are also links to some educational videos, such as BBC Newsround or Numberblocks, that you might like your child to watch while they are enjoying some free time.

Any work your child completes can be photographed and sent to me via ClassDojo. If your child is working on paper or in a workbook, all their work needs to be returned to school when they come back, so that we can look at it together and discuss anything they found tricky. The best form of communication is through ClassDojo, where you can send me a message if your child requires support with work set. We look forward to welcoming your child back into class very soon!
