STAY AT HOME ~ PROTECT THE NHS ~ SAVE LIVES

Covid19 Update 19th March 2020

Dear Parents and families,

You will no doubt be aware that on Friday afternoon schools are closing to the majority of pupils until
further notice. This means that from Monday 23rd March, St Barnabas CE Primary will be closed for the
majority of our children.
We will be remaining open for children whose parents are frontline workers and this group includes:

  • NHS workers
  • Supermarket workers and delivery drivers
  • Social workers
  • Postal workers
  • Police
  • Teachers and school staff

This is the list initially provided by the government, a definitive list will be available tomorrow and may be
subject to change. If you are a frontline worker, please could you contact school as soon as possible to let
us know if you wish your child(ren) to continue to attend school at:

stbarnabas_primary_office@warrington.gov.uk

Despite the fact that we will not be able to open our doors to the majority of pupils from next week, we
are still very much here to support our amazing children and families. Staff are working hard in school to
prepare packs of work for children to complete at home and from Monday teachers will be setting
lessons and activities everyday via our school website: www.stbarnabasceprimary@warrington.gov.uk

We will also be issuing food parcels and vouchers to families who need them, so please do not hesitate to
contact school if you have a worry and we will do everything we can to help.

This is a difficult time for everyone and the situtation is changing day by day. Please remember that we
are here to support you and your family in everyway we can. The school building will remain open and
you can reach school via email or phone.

Take good care and look after oneanother.

Yours sincerely,

Miss J Hodgkinson
